Immigration Information

Well, I was caught off guard the other day when someone asked me what the procedure would be to immigrate into Canada. The more I thought about it the stranger it struck me that I didn't have any information on the subject posted  considering that many Canadians pride themselves on their cultural heritage and that for the most part Canada welcomes any new immigrants. Well, I looked into it and I saw that there is a somewhat lengthy process to follow through with. However, here are some links to go to if you are considering coming to Canada - (and let me know if you are :-) )

The Immigration and Refugee Board is an independent tribunal established by the Parliament of Canada.  Their mission is to, on behalf of Canadians, "make well-reasoned decisions on immigration and refugee matters, efficiently, fairly, and in accordance with the law." This is mostly for those who wish to appeal an immigration decision in Canada but it does provide some helpful information as well.  Their website is located here: http://www.irb-cisr.gc.ca/
